For many years the only form of disinfection for swimming pool type applications was the use of chlorine based chemicals.  Swimming pool professionals are now recognising the role that UV can play in providing and maintaining a high quality swimming experience.

UVO3 UV equipment serves a dual role in swimming pool water treatment.  It not only directly disinfects the pool water, but also actively breaks down combined chlorine compounds (often called chloramines), by photo-oxidation.
