Complete, connected solutions for drinking, waste and process water management
This year saw the launch of our roadshow. Running over a 4 week period in two week stints we took Wycombe Water and UVO3 to see our customers. We have always been a company to attend exhibitions and over the years we have narrowed down which exhibitions work for us: from Installer show, to Fruit Focus and Aquatech with our parent company, Pollet Water Group, but even with the best marketing plan exhibitions are only as good as those that attend them, who we get to have the conversations with.
This year we had the idea that perhaps there was something in doing a road trip around the UK to visit our customers at their premises where we could learn a bit more about them and their requirements and they could understand what water treatment solutions we can provide.

Two experts, one mission. Better water!
In December 2022 Wycombe Water and UVO3 joined forces, both companies were already part of the Pollet Water Group but bringing Wycombe and UVO3 together means we are able to offer a stronger service to our customers. Both companies have kept their own branding and expertise but by joining forces were are able to offer a more complete water treatment solution across drinking, waste and process water management.
Doing a roadshow gave us the opportunity to reinforce this relationship with our customers and to be able to actually demonstrate in person what products we can offer as an end-to-end water treatment solution, as well as show off our in-house expertise across water technology, maintenance and service.

With the roadshow we wanted to showcase some of our most popular products and how these can work in partnership with one another especially how we can build bespoke solutions with our UV technology.
Here are some of the products that we featured on our truck:
AFM Media (Dryden Aqua)
A glass-based activated filter media manufactured from upcycled post-consumer green and brown glass bottles, used in single or dual media filtration with either gravity or pressure filters for the treatment of ground, surface, sea and wastewater. What sets it apart from conventional sand filtration is its unique three-step activation process, which makes the media self-sterilising and biofouling-resistant. AFM is verified to at least double the performance of sand filters without the need for additional investments in infrastructure. This is ideal for customers dealing with filtration challenges across pools, aquaculture, drinking water or industrial process water, it’s a high-performance, sustainable alternative that requires no system modifications to replace existing sand or glass media with AFM.
ELFI Filter
The flagship product of the ELFI range is their self-cleaning back-flushing filter, which uses differential pressure to achieve self-cleaning meaning the filter is not taken out of service during the cleaning cycle. With filtration levels from 2mm down to 1 micron and flow rates from under 1 m³/hr to over 1000 m³/hr, the ELFI range covers applications from cooling towers and heat exchange systems to pharmaceutical, food and drink, and irrigation making it one of the most versatile self-cleaning filtration solutions available.
GreenLife
GreenLife stainless steel magnetic bag filter housings are used for clarifying water in closed circuits, for example, heating or ice water circuits. Metallic particles and sediment in closed water systems can cause heat transfer loss, under-deposit corrosion, pump seal failures and bacterial growth, all of which reduce system efficiency and increase operating costs. GreenLife’s magnetic bag filter technology addresses these problems directly, using a high-strength magnetic core combined with a bag filter to capture both ferrous and non-ferrous particles. Optional thermal insulation jackets are available to protect the units in heating and ice water installations, making them a practical and low-maintenance solution for building services and HVAC applications.
Advanox
Advanox is the advanced oxidation solution made by Van Remmen UV Technology, combining UV-C light with hydrogen peroxide to effectively break down micropollutants. Advanced oxidation purifies water and does not create disinfection by-products like chlorine does. It is used to tackle some of the most challenging water quality problems, breaking down pesticides in drainage water from greenhouse farming, pharmaceutical residues in wastewater, and reducing organic matter in process water, wastewater and ultrapure water. For customers facing increasingly stringent environmental discharge requirements, or dealing with micropollutant contamination in agricultural or industrial water systems, Advanox offers a powerful, chemical-free route to compliance.
Atlas
Atlas UV is one of UVO3’s core product ranges, designed for reliable chemical-free disinfection of drinking water from domestic to commercial use. The Atlas L and H Ranges can treat flows from 11.4 L/min up to 151 L/min. These WRAS Approved units benefit from axial flow polished stainless steel chambers coupled to a unique and innovative controller. The colour LCD controller provides meaningful user feedback including lamp life countdown, UV intensity monitoring and QR code access to replacement parts, making maintenance simple and straightforward.
UV Pro
UVO3’s UV technology is 99.9% effective in eliminating bacteria and pathogens from both air and surfaces without leaving any chemical residue on produce. Direct irradiation systems shine UV light directly onto product surfaces to remove harmful bacteria and moulds, while indirect irradiation treats the air within process packaging facilities to eliminate airborne contaminants. For food production, cold storage and manufacturing environments where air and surface contamination pose a real risk to product quality, the UVPro range offers a passive, chemical-free solution that can be installed into existing production facilities with minimal disruption. The result is extended product shelf life, reduced customer rejections and a safer working environment for employees.
Atlas AT1500
The Atlas AT1500 is a compact, purpose-built UV disinfection system designed for effluent treatment. It reduces harmful pathogenic bacteria levels to below recreational water quality standards and provides reliable treatment without chemical addition. Its compact design minimises the amount of excavation required, making installation quick and easy. It is particularly well suited to on-site wastewater treatment systems where a cost-effective, low-footprint disinfection solution is needed as a final treatment stage before discharge or irrigation, an increasingly important requirement as environmental discharge standards tighten across the UK.
Herco
Herco has been developing water treatment systems since 1947, with technology certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001 and 13485. Their plug-and-play design philosophy means systems can be delivered quickly and commissioned with minimal complexity, covering applications from commercial softening and filtration right through to high-purity water production for pharmaceutical and medical use.
Hydranautics
Hydranautics, a Nitto Group Company, specialises in innovative membrane technologies including reverse osmosis, nanofiltration and microfiltration, designed for water, wastewater and process treatment across a variety of industries. Their membrane range covers everything from energy-saving polyamide elements for standard brackish water treatment to specialist seawater desalination membranes and ultra-low energy options for high-recovery industrial applications.
Purolite’s strength lies in the depth and specialisation of resin technology. In the context of water softening and demineralisation, Purolite resins are a trusted choice for commercial and industrial systems, providing high exchange capacity, excellent chemical stability and long service life.
Cintropur
Cintropur water filters are designed for the filtration of tap water in domestic and industrial applications, and the treatment of rainwater, well water and spring water. They are also suitable for agricultural and irrigation systems. The Cintropur water filter has a double filtration due to the centrifugal vane and the filtering sleeve, differentiating them from other filters. The range covers pre-filtration for softeners and RO plant, protection of process equipment, irrigation system filtration and mains water protection for commercial buildings making it one of the most versatile mechanical filtration solutions.
Calplas
Calplas uses only the most reliable GRP polyester technology in its manufacturing process, with manually laminated hand lay-up construction. This means the fibres are oriented in the directions of maximum tension, calculated precisely for each vessel. Combining the corrosion resistance of fibreglass with the strength of encapsulated internal steel reinforcement, Calplas vessels are built to perform reliably in demanding industrial water treatment environments making them the pressure vessel of choice for softeners, AFM filtration, and a wide range of media-based treatment applications.
UV LED units
UVO3’s UV LED range uses advanced, mercury-free UV-C LED technology to eliminate up to 99.9% of harmful microorganisms including E. coli, bacteria, viruses and protozoa, without introducing any chemicals or affecting water temperature. Unlike conventional UV lamps, UV LEDs activate instantly to full germicidal power the moment water flows, no warm-up time, no wasted energy. Operating at just 50W, UV LED technology delivers the same germicidal effectiveness as higher-wattage traditional systems, with a smaller carbon footprint to match. The solid-state design is completely mercury-free, eliminating environmental contamination risks from disposal. With a lamp life of up to 5,000 hours through flow-activated operation, and no annual lamp replacement requirement in low-use applications, UV LED offers a lower-maintenance, future-ready alternative to traditional UV disinfection.
