How to reset a R-Can/Sterilight/Viqua UV controller
Ok, you want to know how to reset a Sterilight UV ballast. Good news, it’s easy. If you’re wondering why you haven’t figured it out on your own yet, this is because Sterilight UV made it near impossible to do by accident.
So, by following these few simple instructions, the ballast will not only stop beeping at you but also give a 365 countdown for your new lamp. Although I’m talking about a BA-ICE-S ballast, the instructions are the same for the SP Platinum series as well, your reset button is the little display window on top.
5 Steps to resetting your Sterilight UV ballast:
- Firstly, turn off your UV ballast from the power.
- Now hold down the reset button on the side, and keep it held down.
- Now turn the main power back on. Yes, you still have the reset button held down.
- Wait for the RSET display and the single beep which you should hear after about a second.
- Release the reset button
There, that’s it. You’re done!
